Our Fall Training series is here and it’s all about engagement.  If you’ve been to our trainings before, you know that they are fun, interactive, and you always leave with a plan! We are very excited about this training series and we hope to see a lot of new faces!

Engage…Your Organization’s Interns

  • Date: Friday, September 9, 2011
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
  • Place: English Foundation Building, 615 N. Alabama Street, Indianapolis
  • What You’ll Learn: How to utilize internships to take your organization to the next level, strategies to make sure your workplace is one where interns thrive, strategies to maximize the potential of interns
  • What You’ll Leave With: An Action Plan for supervising your current interns or exploring the potential for utilizing interns within your organization.
  • Cost: $10 at the door payable via cash, check, or credit/debit card

Engage…Through Social Media (Brought to you in partnership with CIAVA)

  • Date: Wednesday, September 21, 2011
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
  • Place: American Red Cross, 441 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis
  • What You’ll Learn: Social media planning including setting goals/objectives and outcome measurement. How to effectively include volunteer resources into your organization’s social media plan.  How to utilize volunteers to carry out your social media plan.
  • What You’ll Leave With: A workbook to begin your social media planning and tons of new ideas!
  • Cost: $10 for CIAVA members in advance (mail check to Catalyst X-Change, 314 Turnberry Court, Lebanon IN 46052); $15 at the door (payable via cash, check, or debit/credit card)

Engage…Your Workplace

  • Date: Thursday, September 22, 2011
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
  • Place: English Foundation Building, 615 N. Alabama Street, Indianapolis
  • What You’ll Learn: The strengths and talents that each generation brings to the workplace. Workplace strategies to build a fully engaged team.
  • What You’ll Leave With: An Action Plan to help you create an engaged team/workplace.
  • Cost: $10 at the door payable via cash, check, or debit/credit card

Engage…The Community

  • Date: Friday, October 21, 2011
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
  • Place: English Foundation Building, 615 N. Alabama Street, Indianapolis
  • What You’ll Learn: Strategies to engage community members in your organization as volunteers, donors, and board members. 
  • What You’ll Leave With: An Action Plan to help your organization engage more individuals in your mission.
  • Cost: $10 at the door payable via cash, check, or debit/credit card

A note about parking: Parking at the English Foundation Building can be a bit tricky.  There is a free public lot located on the south side of the building (entrance is off of North Street).  It fills up fast so arrive by 8:45 a.m. if you want a spot.  Limited 2-hour metered street parking is also available around the building.  You can also park in the Murat for $5.00 (entrance located on Alabama Street).

A note about payment: We accept cash, checks (made out to Catalyst X-Change), and debit/credit cards.  Please note that if using a debit/credit card, there is an additional $0.25 fee.
